Social Security Disability

If you have suffered a personal injury, or suffer from a condition or impairment that prevents you from being able to do your job and have been denied social security disability benefits, we can help.  Sometimes these situations occur after a car wreck or on the job injury, in any event, we would be glad to talk with you.  As personal injury and social security disability lawyers, we understand the social security disability process.

If you call us, you will meet with a lawyer that can explain what happens in a social security disability case.  You need to understand what to expect in your social security disability case.  You are not alone, we will be by your side throughout your social security disability case.  As with all personal injury claims, social security disability cases, and related matters, we only charge a fee if we are successful in your case.

Social Security Paperwork, Forms, and the Process can be Tricky, Let us Help.

Out of the past 10 years, have you worked at least 5 years? If you have, then you may meet one of the initial requirements for SSD Benefits. Essentially, SSD is an insurance program. First, you have to show that you are “insurable” or eligible to receive benefits. If you are not “insurable” or eligible to receive benefits, then it doesn’t matter for SSD if you are disabled. However, if you have a serious disability and are not “insurable” for SSD purposed, you may still qualify for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. SSI benefits may cover you if you are not eligible for SSD, but have little or no income.

SSI and Alabama Medicaid

Once approved for SSI, you may also be eligible for Alabama Medicaid. Alabama Medicaid will provide health insurance that will cover many of your medical expenses.
